We're going local with Truro Vineyards, located on Shore Road in Truro! The rugged beauty of this small town is big: with miles of unspoiled beaches and dramatic sand dunes, Truro is a treasure. The Roberts' family loves working here, crafting premium wines for your enjoyment and creating a peerless seasonal destination for visitors.

Truro Vineyards has always been a family business, even before it was purchased by the Roberts family back in 2007. After 40 years in the fine wine and spirits industry, vineyard owner Dave Roberts retired in 2006 and began to pursue his dream of winemaking, enlisting his family’s commitment and support. The Roberts' are hands on owners. They run wine tastings, work in the gift shop, assist in the fields and contribute to the wine making process.
The vineyard is situated next to 44,600 acres of National Seashore, and pride is taken in the environment here. With understanding of the region’s delicate ecosystem, and through common practices including recycling and composting to more advanced efforts like the newly built green winery, Truro Vineyards aspires to be good stewards of this beautiful land we call home.
The winery itself has been (and continues to be) renovated for sustainability, and it uses high efficiency equipment that conserves energy and reduces green house gas emissions. In the vineyard, management of natural resources is of utmost importance. Ongoing evaluation of water needs are conducted, pruned canes are mulched in the spring, and grape skins and stems are composted in the fall. Vineyard management is continually evaluated to ensure as little impact on our environment as possible. Truro Vineyards is committed to reducing their carbon footprint as much as possible.
Maintaining and increasing sustainable practices allows Truro Vineyards to do what they love: Make great wine in this wonderful part of the world.
