Leese-Fitch ~ Brand Spotlight

Leese-Fitch is named after Sonoma's Leese-Fitch Adobe building that was built in 1836 by entrepreneur and rancher Jacob Premier Leese. The Fitch comes from Captain Henry D. Fitch, who was also San Diego's first city attorney. Both Jacob and Henry were brothers-in-law to the founder of Sonoma, General Mariano Vallejo. (You can see a photo of the Adobe in the header of this email).

Just a little side note: later in his life, Jacob Leese moved to the northeast to persue politics. Although he traveled a lot for this, his home and family were located in Massachusetts.
