Joe Wagner is a fifth generation winemaker from Napa Valley whose family founded Caymus Vineyards. His only winemaking education came from his family experiences and the mentorship of his father, and he began making wine himself in 2001, at the young age of 19. He would eventually break into stardom after creating the award-winning label that he called Belle Glos, named after his grandmother Lorna Belle Glos Wagner.

In 2014, just before he sold another one of his very popular labels called Meiomi, he founded Copper Cane Wine & Provisions. With wines from different regions in his native California, and a label from Oregon, Joe created Copper Cane to focus on innovations that have always captured his interest. And more importantly: to find new ways to offer the highest quality products that satisfy consumers’ appetites for genuine craftsmanship.
